Vrsar is also famous for its rich wine and gastronomic offer, and it was here that the famous writer Giacomo Casanova tasted Teran wine. Vrsar - small town of numerous viewpoints
There are several excellent viewpoints in Vrsar from which you can enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the sea and the surrounding area. The largest viewpoint, from which you can see the north of the town and the nearby island of St. George, is located below the church of St. Anthony of Padua. You can also admire the view and the architecture of the old town from the church lodge, which will impress you with its vaulted construction.
We should also mention 2 viewpoints known as romantic spots for lovers. On both viewpoints you will find carved figures of a man and a woman. The locals called the first couple Bepo and Tonina, and that's how the viewpoint got its name. The second viewpoint is named after the famous seducer Casanova, who once stayed in Vrsar and wrote about its beauties in his memoirs. At this viewpoint you can see the silhouettes of a man and a woman carved in Istrian stone.
However, the most beautiful view, the real panoramic view, is offered from the highest point of the old town of Vrsar - from the bell tower of the church of St. Martin. This is also the most visited viewpoint, and how could it be otherwise - from its window you can see all the way to Rovinj and Poreč.
