Those looking for fun can find it at the <strong>clubs on Zr\u0107e Beach<\/strong> near Novalja. Active travelers can explore the <strong>numerous trails<\/strong>, and those looking for a relaxing vacation can spend their days lounging on the beaches. To help you make the most of your vacation on Pag, we&#8217;ve compiled our best recommendations.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LS8g7NiyfjM?si=Drzn9N-Pc3psKDoq\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2><strong>How to get there<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There are two ways to get to Pag. If you&#8217;re coming from the north, the first option is <strong>the ferry from Prizna<\/strong>. The crossing takes about 20 minutes and brings you to the northern part of the island, near Novalja. During the high season, ferries sail in both directions every hour. During the off-season, however, service is somewhat less frequent, so it is best to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jadrolinija.hr\/download\/d9cc92057ef5fdb23a1584b6a776b469\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>check the sailing schedule<\/strong><\/a> and book a ferry in advance.<\/p>\n<p>The second option is the <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/o5NYK631S8tgyTWLA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Pag Bridge<\/strong><\/a> on the southern end of the island. This is a great option if you are traveling to the southern part of the island or if you don&#8217;t want to pay for the ferry. Currently, in June 2025, the ferry costs between 12 and 20 euros for cars and <strong>between 20 and 30 euros for campervans<\/strong>, depending on their size.<\/p>\n<h2><b>What to see<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Are you interested in history? If so, take a walk through the old part of Pag, where you will find <strong>old walls<\/strong> and historical sites such as the Rector&#8217;s Palace, the Skrivanat Tower, and the <strong>Katine Bridge<\/strong>, a replica of an 18th-century Venetian bridge. <a href=\"https:\/\/adriacamps.com\/en\/campsites\/dalmatia-zadar-region\/town-novalja\/\"><strong>Novalja<\/strong><\/a> is the second largest town on the island, so choose it if you want to be in the heart of the action and close to some of the most beautiful beaches.<\/p>\n<p>Pag is famous for its many indigenous products. While you are in town, visit the <strong>saltworks Solana Pag<\/strong>, the largest producer of sea salt in Croatia. Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/gligora.com\/dairy-croatia\/\"><strong>Gligora cheese factory<\/strong><\/a> in Kolan, where you can book a tour or relax at the Cheese Bar and enjoy Pag cheese and other specialties while taking in the views of the island.<\/p>\n<p>What goes well with top-quality cheese? High-quality <strong>olive oil<\/strong>. Visit <strong>Lun<\/strong>, a village near Novalja, where you can explore olive groves with the largest number of thousand-year-old olive trees in one place.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"custom-highlight-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For active travelers, we recommend the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeonmarstrail.hr\/en\/staza-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Life on Mars<\/strong><\/a> trail. Starting from Metajna, head south to explore Pag&#8217;s beaches and coves. Then, continue inland to discover a rocky landscape. The trail includes a 100-meter-long <strong>Via Ferrata<\/strong>, which requires equipment and is great for those looking for an adrenaline rush.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2><b>Where to eat<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/ugo2Q4CPrsFN8zBh6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Restaurant Bo\u0161kinac<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; The only Michelin-starred restaurant on Pag. Located near Stara Novalja, it offers dishes made with carefully selected local ingredients, including shrimp, Pag lamb, cheese, fish, and olive oil. To get to know Pag specialties well, try the tasting menu, &#8220;A Walk Around the Island of Pag&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Where to stay<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>The island of Pag is home to both <a href=\"https:\/\/villas-guide.com\/en\/villas-in-croatia\/dalmatia\/island-of-pag\">modern and traditional villas<\/a>. There is a parking lot from which you can reach the beach in five minutes on foot.
