If you’re reading this article, then you must be planning a vacation. Or at least thinking about one. Or just fantasizing. Whatever the reason, you’re more than welcome. In this article, we are going to talk about villas. And mobile homes. You’re probably wondering what they have in common, but trust us – even though they seem different, they’re actually very complementary.
Read on to find out what their main characteristics are and who knows, maybe you’ll find yourself vacationing in one of them in no time.
Villas
Feels like home
When we say “villa,” the first thing that comes to mind is a large, luxurious space reserved for only a few. And with that, there’s no way it could feel like home. But the truth is quite the opposite. Even though spaciousness and luxury are its main assets, we could say that nowadays a villa is an affordable luxury. You have several bedrooms, your own kitchen (a very spacious one!), a living room with TV and fireplace, a huge backyard and lots of outdoor space to enjoy. All nicely decorated and well maintained. Which brings us to its other two major assets – comfort and coziness. Just like home, right?
Spaciousness
Villas tend to be larger; some have more floors and most have a number of bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Just enough to comfortably accommodate a couple of families or a larger group of friends. If you’re the kind of family that likes to hang out together, there’s plenty of room for gatherings, and if you like to stay out of each other’s way (which is totally understandable), there’s plenty of room for each member to enjoy on their own. Additionally, villas usually have a large outdoor area with many amenities such as barbecue, pool, playground, and dining/relaxing areas.
Private pool/spa facilities
And last but not least, the thing that will make you spend a little more on a vacation in a villa – a pool. And we can’t stress this enough – a private pool. Most villas have a pool in the garden and it’s a big hit with guests of all ages. Some villas also have outdoor or indoor hot tubs and some even have saunas. All included in the price. Just for you. Can it get any better?
Privacy
If privacy is what you’re looking for on your vacation, we can relate. And if you choose a villa, privacy is what you’ll get. Most of the villas are completely fenced in and hidden from unwanted views. Plus, they are usually located in smaller villages that are not as busy, so you’ll definitely get your peace and quiet. But if you want to go the extra mile, there are remote villas that are set in secluded locations with no nearby neighbors. Now that sounds like a real body and soul retreat, doesn’t it?
Luxury
While luxury might sound like something that’s not easily accessible to everyone, as we’ve already mentioned, a villa can be an affordable luxury. Let’s face it – there are villas whose luxury comes at a price. But there are also villas that are more affordable, yet luxurious enough to give you that sense of satisfaction you get when you vacation in a nice accommodation.
Mobile homes
The comfort of your own home
While camping on a pitch may be the dream vacation for some, others prefer to stay in the comfort of their own four walls. We could describe a mobile home as a small house that can definitely feel like a real home if you’ve been in it long enough. Depending on their size and capacity, mobile homes have 1-3 bedrooms and 1-2 bathrooms. They have a functional kitchen and a living room that opens to the outdoor terrace. Although the overall dimensions of a mobile home are smaller, the space is more than adequate for a comfortable stay.
All campsite benefits included
When you vacation at a campsite, you get to enjoy all of its exciting amenities and contents. Pools, spas, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, beaches and entertainment for all ages are right outside your mobile home. Great for families with children who can be sure their kids will be entertained all day long. Great for a group of friends who can relax by the pool and play cards on the beach. But also, for couples who can have date night – every night! With plenty of places to go out in the campsite itself, they will have a blast.
Pets allowed
Nowadays, more and more mobile homes are completely adapted to the guests who vacation with their furry friends. Both the interior and exterior spaces are big enough for their carefree romp, and the best thing is that the campsites where they are located are full of amenities for pets. Showers, beaches, promenades… Combine this with comfortable accommodation and you’ve got yourself a jackpot.
Price
Since the capacity of a mobile home can go up to 8 people, we can safely say that it’s a great solution for a couple of friends or 2 families who want to save some money. You can split the cost and enjoy more for less. There are also great deals on mobile homes throughout the year – from Early Booking, Black Friday to Last Minute, so the chances of getting a nice mobile home at a fair price are quite high.
Private terrace
We all know that an accommodation without an outdoor space isn’t that exciting. The good news is that a terrace is a “must have” in a mobile home. And most of them have a view – of the sea, the lake, the campsite, the mountains. Also, there are all kinds of terraces – covered, uncovered, curtained, fenced… But the most important thing is that it is a place to get together, regardless of the time of day.
Which one to choose?
So, what’s the bottom line? Both mobile homes and villas can be a great accommodation option. They offer a home-like atmosphere, comfort, lots of space (especially outdoors) and are great options for a vacation with a larger group of people (and pets, of course).
If a villa was your go-to accommodation, you might want to try staying in a mobile home. You know, change it up a bit, see what it’s like in the campsite community. Who knows, you might just love it!
